City Council recognizes the KCFOP
Kansas City City Council recognized and congratulated the Kansas City Fraternal Order of Police
on the official recognition as the exclusive bargaining unit of officers and sergeants of the Kansas City Police Department.

Jackson County Legislature congratulates FOP Lodge 99
On December 11, 2009, the Jackson County, Missouri Legislature acknowledged and congratulated the Kansas City, Missouri Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 99 in an official resolution on their recognition as the exclusive bargaining unit for all Kansas City, Missouri Police Officers below the rank of captain.
County Resolution 17125 noted the historical significance of the recognition which had never before been achieved in the 135 year history of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.
KCFOP 99 President Brad Dumit stated, “Not only is this a historic event for the officers on our department, it allows us to actively participate in those matters that affect our jobs on a daily basis.”
The resolution was introduced by County Legislators Henry Rizzo, Scott Burnett, Theresa Garza Ruiz and Dan Tarwater.
