Fraternal Order of Police Free College Benefit
Updated On: Apr 02, 2021

Your KCFOP Lodge #99 Executive Board and numerous lodge members delegates are currently in Nashville, Tennessee attending the FOP National Conference.  We have been meeting with delegates from across Missouri, hearing about important legal issues, and listening to speeches from candidates who are running for positions on the National Executive Board.

We want to share some important information with you that has been mentioned several times here, in Nashville.

There is a new program the National FOP is offering called the Fraternal Order of Police Free College Benefit.  This program allows you (as an FOP Member) or your family (Family is defined as spouses, children, stepchildren, dependents and grandchildren) to get an associates degree in one of several programs through online courses offered by Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC) for FREE.

EGCC is an accredited college in the University System of Ohio.  This means that any credits earned will transfer to other institutes of higher education with relative ease.

Students who have completed a state approved Peace Officer Training program may be eligible for up to 33 credits from EGCC—that’s almost a year of work already finished!

All of this is offered to Members, and their families, for FREE.

Please visit http://fopfreecollege.org for additional information.  There are videos and a comprehensive FAQ there that will address any lingering doubts you may have.

Please consider taking advantage of this great opportunity and benefit, before it's too late!
